Summer Missionaries 2009
Summer 2009 was a very eventful summer with (once again) not much down time. It’s really amazing how the verse Isaiah 40:31 really applies when you run on little physical energy.
“but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”
A typical crazy day would involve an early morning breakfast, rushing off to a day camp or two, quickly eating lunch before going to help a team with beach reach, then coming home to quickly shower before supper (or work for a few crazy missionaries), then going to put on an evening program at an RV Park. The days were long and tiresome. But you would rarely hear complaints from the summer missionary staff. It’s one of those times in your life where you don’t mind being tired, because you’re having a lot of fun and making a difference at the same time.
